Over 300 miles of rivers in the Owyhee Canyonlands are protected under the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act. Protected river sections include the famous Jarbidge, Bruneau and Owyhee rivers.
The best way to celebrate the Owyhee Canyonlands is to float one of the Wild and Scenic Rivers! The second best way to celebrate is to join us at this upcoming event! Join John Robison, Idaho Conservation League’s Public Lands Director, will provide an overview of the Owyhee Canyonlands, describe the character of different river stretches, and offer logistics advice for planning your own adventures. John will also describe the Owyhee Initiative’s collaborative approach to crafting these protections.
