On April 16th at 6:30 PM. Gary Eller presents the story and songs of Clarence E. Eddy. Orphaned at a young age, Eddy became one of the most colorful and well-known characters to seek riches in the wilds of Central Idaho and the Death Valley region, in the last great American gold rushes from the late 1890’s to 1920. Eddy made several major discoveries and was wildly publicized for his adventures in both regions. He wrote five books of poetry and song and hundreds of newspaper articles were published by and about him coast to coast, giving him national fame.
This program is supported in part by a grant from the Idaho Humanities Council, a state-based partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
