Toddler Time is designed for children in the 18mo to 3yo age group. We know that this age group gets the wiggles, so there are lots of opportunities for movement and books that are appropriate for their attention span followed by playtime!

Baby Lapsit is designed for babies from birth through 18 months. This short storytime lasts 15 minutes. Your baby will be on your lap throughout, and you will sing, move, and read with your baby!

Join our Genealogy Workshop! On the first Tuesday of every month, we’ll teach you a new skill or tool to use to uncover your family tree. This month, we’ll meet on November 4th at 6:30 PM to learn how to push through tough spots, obstacles, and brick walls in your research!

We're excited to welcome Idaho Community Cares as they present Powerful Tools for Caregivers in partnership with the Idaho Commission on Aging. This is a six-week class series designed specifically for caregivers. Classes are from 1 pm - 3 pm every Wednesday beginning October 8th. This class comes with materials, so registration is required. Participants will learn practical tools and strategies including: 

• Tips to reduce stress
• Improving self-confidence
• Communicating more effectively with the care receiver
• Navigating tough decisions and family dynamics
• Finding and using community resources
• Making tough decisions

Caregiver burnout is real – this program provides support and skills to help caregivers take better care of themselves.

Teens in 6th – 12th grade, join us for a cooking class! Siew Guan Lee from the University of Idaho Extension office will be teaching us how to make cupcakes and decorate them like turkeys! 

Preschool Storytime is designed for kids who are 4 – 5 years old! This storytime uses the five early literacy practices- sing, talk, read, write, and play. Each storytime features a letter, books that are a little longer and a little more complex to get us ready to sit in a classroom, and lots of fun rhymes and songs. After storytime, we play!

Stop in the Library every month to learn the basics of a new technology tool or skill! This month, learn how the basics of building your own computer! We'll meet in the Program Room on Nov. 12th at 4:30 PM. 

Join us on November 12th @ 6 PM for game night! Play games from our collection, from Black Dragon Games’ collection, or BYOG to share. This month, we’re featuring food-based games like Sushi Go, Steam Up and Point Salad.

Calling all young adventurers in 3rd -6th grade! Join us to play Dungeons & Dragons!  We’ll meet Saturday November 15 for a kid-friendly D&D adventure.  Never played before? That's okay! We’ll teach you how to play, and we'll have everything you need to play. Doors open at 11 am, gameplay starts at 11:30 am, and we play until 2:30 pm. Reminder: Parents of kids 8 and under must remain in the library while their child is also in library.

You've seen his photos around town, now learn more about the man behind the images. On Nov 22 at 11 AM, librarian Jennifer Hills will talk about photographer Clarence Bisbee, some of his most significant photos, and the legacy he left to the Magic Valley and the state.
