Hidden Lakes – Rick Kuhn

I grew up in rural Connecticut, a hilly region of dense, hardwood forests. I was impressed with the bright light and open expanses of Idaho upon locating here in 1979. My paintings have always been inspired, for the most part, by physical surroundings, the natural landscape, as well as, roads, bridges and architectural subjects.

I take photographs with the intent of using them as reference material for the subjects of my paintings. I have tried to create a scene typical of our Twin Falls area and familiar to many of us with the 'Hidden Lakes' painting.
